Kickstarting RecoveryRecovery from painful events is a process that involves the allowing and sorting of complicated emotions about complicated situations. Facing what happened is not meant to be done without support; we are created for connection. It involves identifying fact from fiction, and one’s emotions and needs; it involves finding answers, acceptance, and action to be taken. In the meantime here is a way to structure your day. Make a list of activities in the following forecasting exercise and schedule them daily. A ccomplishment. Looking back on your day what will give you a sense of accomplishment? What will be worth it and what is not worth it? C onnection. To whom do you want to feel close? Family? Friends? God? E njoyment. What activities give you energy? S elf-care. What can you do to take care of yourself to be healthy and energized? Proper rest, diet, exercise. |
